Norman Abbott

Norman Abbott is a freelance keyboardist, cellist, choral/orchestral director and music arranger. Educated in Victoria BC, Toronto and London ON, he holds his ARCT in piano and MM in cello (Western University).

Norm has been long-time music director of Dundas Centre United Church (London). He has served on the Faculty of the Forest City School for Talent Education as collaborator, coach, accompanist and arranger. His output of arrangements are largely for strings and piano – numbering over 150. Recently he did extensive arranging for Canada 150 – embracing strings, piano with vocal solo or ensemble.

His arranging renown extends to the UK and USA for choral, orchestral and chamber music genres. He garnered acclaim for choral/orchestral settings of Canadian World War I songs showcased in Victoria BC in April 2017.
